From the Hall
This article will be brief and to the point. Next week is our biggest event in Oshkosh. The number of people in our town will at least double. Visitors will be coming home or to visit from all over the country. Please take a look at your yard, your lawn, your business front. Look with new eyes. If you had not been home in a long time, what would you see? Would you see a neat and tidy community full of pride or would you see a community with abandoned appliances, unmown lawns, cluttered yards, broken windows?
During the next few days, take a little extra time and spiff things up. The parade route is especially critical. Decorate empty storefronts. Mow your lawn. Replace those broken windows. Relocate or get rid of those appliances or items in your yard. We have come so far with removing unlicensed cars. You have done such a great job. Let's be proud of how our community looks. Let's take it to the next level. We can do it.
Remember, this is our community. It will be what we make it.
