MINUTES
MARCH 8, 2007

The Mayor and City Council met in regular session March 8, 2007, at 7:30 p.m. Present: Brain Moffat, Larry Gette, Carol Lake, Jim Levick, and Mayor, Cindee Talley presiding. Also present: Administrator, Bill Campbell, Attorney, J. Leef, and Clerk, LeAnn Brown. Said meeting was held in open and public session.

Mayor Talley noted the posting of the Open Meetings Act.

Motion by Lake, seconded by Levick, to approve the amended agenda and minutes of the previous meetings and waive the reading of the same. Motion carried unanimously.

Motion by Moffat, seconded by Gette, to approve the following bills. Voting Yea: Moffat, Gette, Lake, Levick. Councilman Levick abstained on warrants 23641 and 23684. Motion carried.

Bill Podraza, Relations Manager from Miller & Associates Consulting Engineers, spoke to the Mayor and Council about what services Miller & Associates could offer the city if and when the city would decide to do a water study.

OLD BUSINESS:

HWY. 26 Speed Limit: Dept. of Roads has denied the city's request to lower the speed limit.

Attorney Leef was advised by the Health Board to take the next legal steps in getting the properties cleaned up that the Health Board found to be in violation of the city code book.

NEW BUSINESS:

Sheriff Singpiel gave his report. For the month of February 90 hours were spent in Oshkosh.

Motion by Lake, seconded by Gette, to approve Sheriff, Chris Singpiel to the Health Board. Voting Yea: Lake, Gette, Levick. Voting Nay: Moffat. Motion carried.

Motion by Levick, seconded by Moffat, to approve the re-appointment of Orvin Lake to the Oshkosh Housing Authority board. Motion carried unanimously.

Motion by Gette, seconded by Moffat, to approve building permits to Galen Clark for a garage and Mesa Vue a storage building. Motion carried unanimously.

Motion by Lake, seconded by Moffat, to approve Joshua Rhea's Permit to Keep Livestock for a 4-H project. Motion carried unanimously.

Motion by Moffat, seconded by Lake, to advertise for the City's insurance package every three years. Motion carried unanimously.

Mayor Talley gave her report and then received a motion from Lake, seconded by Levick, to adjourn the meeting at 8:35 p.m. Motion carried unanimously.
