Lisco is a proud, well-manicured village with a deep sense of community. There are two churches, a Volunteer Fire Department and an American Legion Post.

A village of approximately 80 residents, it is the western most town in Garden County and sites just a mile north of the scenic and historic North Platte River. It is adjacent to Highway 27, part of the Nebraska scenic and historic Byways System.

The immediate countryside has many farms and ranches. The community hosts an annual celebration, Lisco Day the first Monday after Labor Day. They have team roping and local rodeo events at their arena throughout the year.
