The Village of Lewellen Nebraska, is known as the "Small Town With A Big Heart". Travellers to the area will find all kinds of opportunities here. Sportsman find an abundance of hunting and fishing in the area.
Fishermen have the choices of the North Platte River, Blue Creek and nearby Lake Mac.
Water sports enthusiasts will enjoy their time at Lake McConaughy boating, water-skiing, ski-boating.
Historical interests include the Ash Hollow State Park, the Battle of Blue Water, and the traces of the trails used by the Mormon handcarts, the Pioneer and Oregon Trails.

Take a drive across the the Historic State-Aid Bridge and listen to the song of the steel girders as you drive across!
Nature lovers and birdwatchers will want to head to the Crescent Lake National Wildlife Refuge and view the aerie for the eagles that nest in the area. Keep your eyes pealed as you travel, because the turkeys, pheasants, and grouse are playing in the nearby grass. The deer and antelope play on the ranges, in the valleys, and on the hills.
