- What our office does.
The Garden County Clerk is responsible for Payroll, Accounts Payable, Marriage Licenses, Property Tax
Protests, Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly Payroll Reports, Budget Expenditures, tobacco
and liquor licenses, and Hunt and Fish licenses.
The Clerk of District court is the Administrative Officer of the Court, responsible for record keeping
of criminal and civil cases, maintenance of Court's Docket. The Clerk also serves as Passport Agent
and is Jury Commissioner for the Courts.
- Duties of office
The Clerk's duties include recording all proceedings of the Board of Commissioners and Board of Equalization;
countersign all warrants issued by the Board; keep a record of all official bonds record layout,
changes and improvements to all roads; report to the Secretary of State the names of all
County Officials, their signatures, and their seals of office before February 1; prepare
and file with county board all their annual inventory.

The Clerk's Office has forms to mail to State for certified copies of birth certificates, marriage licenses, death certificates and divorce certificates.

The office of County Clerk is an elected position. County Clerks hold the office
for a four year term.
