Speakers and Musicians

We are Blessed

David & Carrie Smith

Evangelist David Smith is known throughout America as David and Carrie Smith "Mr. Gospel Guitar." He was a teen when he began his dynamic career as guitarist for the Oak Ridge Boys. His God-given talent was recognized at the young age at that young age as he was nominated for a Dove Award for Instrumentalist of the Year by the Gospel Music Association.

David has played and sung for numerous Christian groups and has preached the gospel in over twenty-seven different countries, and performed on major gospel television shows throughout the United States. He was also a regular on the Grand Ole Opry's Grand Ole Gospel Hour for sixteen years. David is ordained with Faith Christian Fellowship of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

David's wife, Carrie, a graduate from the Millikin University School of Music, Decatur, Illinois, now joins him in his crusade for Christ. Carrie sand country music for twelve years before the Lord began to pull her in the direction of the ministry. Now with her voice, saxophone and bass guitar, she glorifies the Lord with music.

We are very blessed to have David and Carrie back with us.

Scott Mathis

Pastor Scott Mathis, "The Cowboy Preacher," was raised on the Wyoming frontier. Growing up training horses with his father and older brother, he has spent much of his life on horseback. The son of a country preacher, Scott rejected his godly parent's teachings and left home at age 14. Going the "way of the world," he began a long drift into drunken debauchery. Majoring in History at the University of Wyoming in a vain attempt to disprove Christianity, Scott ridiculed Christians and attempted to talk them out of their faith. While his parents faithfully prayed, God began to work in his heart. After many negative life experiences, in March of 1990, Scott trusted in Christ as his Savior. He is now the Lead Pastor of Mitchell Berean Church in Mitchell, Nebraska, and has preached at various venues throughout the United States and the world. Pastor Scott has been married to Diane for 22 years and has a daughter who's married (Courtney & Jared) and a son (Shane).

David Rostberg

David Rostberg

Our deepest sympathy and prayers go out to the family of David Rostberg. David passed away February 3 in Tuttle, North Dakota. He was the pastor of Tuttle Church of the Nazarene. He was married to Bernice I. Rostberg.

David grew up in Northeastern North Dakota, and dedicated his life to Jesus Christ at an early age. His mother and uncles were all musically inclined, so David comes by his talent naturally. David has written more than one hundred songs and played several instruments. With the exception of the piano, they were all self-taught. He attended Mid America University and Liberty University. He traveled for fifteen years, playing gospel music as an evangelist, before setting down to pastoring. David had several recordings of his Southern Gospel Music.
