Regular Meeting Minutes
September 21, 2006

The Chamber met at SnS Restaurant with 15 members attending.

President Carol Lake called the meeting to order at 7:32 PM.

The Minutes of the last meeting were reviewed. Josh Henne moved to accept the minutes, seconded by Jack Nerud. Motion carried.

Bonnie Eckles presented the Treasurer's report.

Matt Lutz gave a speech on his experience at Boy's State. 317 boys from across Nebraska participated, divided into 8 towns. He was a member of Yorktown and elected Clerk of the Legislature.

Emily McGinley and Emily Nelson presented a slide show and narrative of their People to People World Forum trip to Washington D.C. The presentation chronicled their trip, places they visited and special attractions.

1. Lisco Day - The Chamber hosted and directed the Kid's Races.
2. Fall Festival - Thank you's to Buddy Paulsen, Bobbi Tophoj, Cindy Talley, Kelly Reece, Cabela's Crew, Lyn Salmon, Glenda Edmonds, Kelly Fiesterman, Larry & Becky Gette, Pam Fornander, Garden County Fair Board, Lake Backhoe and Rick Reece for their special contributions for making this day possible.
3. TARGET Survey - Rescheduled for March/April 2007.

1. Nominating CommitteeJosh Henne, Paula Sissel and Bonnie Eckles volunteered to serve on the 2007 Nominating Committee. Nathan Loyd has agreed to serve as President and Todd Royston as 1st Vice-President. Nominations are being sought for 2nd Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. If you know of any one that may be interested, please contact a member of the committee.

• Thursday, September 28, 7 PM @ Garden County Courthouse - informational meeting regarding status of Riverview Assisted Living.

Next Meeting: October 19, 2006 @ Eagles

• November - Election of Officer
• December - Christmas Party
