Garden County Community Foundation/Garden County Public Schools

The Garden County Schools (GCS) and the Garden County Community Foundation (GCCF) have been involved in the Home Town Competitiveness Program and are working together in the Youth and Charitable Assets pillars of the program. A fund agreement has been established between the Garden County Public Schools and the Garden County Community Foundation. The purpose of this fund shall be to provide financial support to programs and projects which increase and enhance the educational and academic opportunities for the students within the Garden County Public Schools. Such support shall include, but not be limited to, scholarships, special programs, materials, equipment, supplies, and instruction. Items normally and routinely considered and made a part of the school district's general operating budget shall not receive support from this fund.

Any gifts made to the Garden County Schools Fund will be credited in the manner so designated by the donor, if the donor does not designate the gift, the gift will then be put into the endowment fund. The Garden County School Board and the Garden County Community Foundation encourage prospective donors in the surrounding Garden County area and alumni to make contributions to this fund. A memorial gift designated to this fund is just one example of how a donor could contribute to this foundation.
