Location:

Oshkosh, Nebraska, the County Seat of Garden County is located in the Nebraska Panhandle at the crossroads of US Hwy 26 and Nebraska State Hwys 27/92. Interstate 80 and Interstate 76 and US 30 are all approximately 30 miles to the south.
Lewellen is 15 miles to the east of Oshkosh, and Lisco is 15 miles to the west, both along Highway 26.

Oshkosh has its own Interstate 80 exit.

The peaceful North Platte River flows two miles to the south of town. Crescent Lake National Wildlife Refuge is 23 miles to the north of Oshkosh, Ash Hollow State Historical Park is on the eastern edge of Lewellen, Lake McConaughy is 30 minutes to the east from Oshkosh, 12 miles from Lewellen. Denver International Airport a 3 hour drive to the south-west, and Wyoming border 100 miles to the west.

Ground: Several trucking companies service the Cabella's Return Center in Oshkosh, and are fully capable of expanding service to this area with their current fleets. Other trucking companies service grocery outlets, lumber and hardware stores, etc. Several truck drivers from different companies have their home domicile in Oshkosh.
Rail: Union Pacific has double tracks through Garden County, with a side spur in Oshkosh.
Air: OKS Garden County Airport located in Oshkosh. 4,701 x 60-foot concrete, lighted runway. Modern heated terminal building. Fuel available, heated hangar available by arrangements, tie downs free of charge, and no landing fees.
Parcels:USPS, UPS, and Fed-Ex all service the area with daily trucks.

  • Highway 26 Visitor's Center
    A Visitors Center with tourist information, a gift shop, public access internet, restrooms, and truck parking
  • Sport Trailers Plant
    Sports Trailers from Paxton are looking to expand and build. They have said they would like to build their new facility in Oshkosh. We still need investors to bring this dream into reality. Initial new jobs created should be about 20, with expansion to 50 employees within 2-3 years projected.
  • Lodge/Bakery/Gift Shop
    A bed and breakfast style Lodge with 3 meals served daily, a bakery, and a gift shop.
  • Custom Cabinet and Stairway Assembly and Distribution
